London Ball Foundation mission and vision

The London Ball Foundation is a Hong Kong registered charitable organisation that aims to serve society by supporting youth-focused initiatives and enabling Hong Kong’s development as a global education hub. Our efforts aim to promote sustainable development for the benefit of China and the wider world.

Our mission is to create a robust platform that unites UK-educated graduates, encouraging them to return to Hong Kong to educate, invest, work, innovate, and contribute to future generations. We promote sustainability in education, foster dialogue between leading higher education institutions in Hong Kong and overseas, and facilitate connections between students, educators, policymakers and entrepreneurs.

Our Signature London Ball in Hong Kong
The London Ball gala dinner, our signature event in Hong Kong, connects UK-educated alumni, leaders, and philanthropists in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. This high-profile event fosters community, networking, and collaboration, empowering network to contribute to our society.

Outstanding Alumni Award
This Award recognises the achievements and success of our alumni and celebrates their outstanding talent, accomplishments, and the contributions they have made to the Hong Kong community. The Outstanding Alumni Award Ceremony is hosted at The London Ball.

Education Summit
The Education Summit brings together education stakeholders, from educators to students, the public and private sectors, to share experiences and to generate collective insights, ideas and wisdoms. High-profile speakers include international educators, industry leaders and professionals. The Education Summit is organized in partnership with Hong Kong’s leading universities.

By fostering dialogue between strategic leaders on the future of education, the Summit encourages innovative approaches to learning and builds partnerships that will drive positive change in education systems in Hong Kong and globally.

Influence and Inspire the Next Generation
The London Ball Foundation promotes communication, innovative thinking and community for our next generation. We organise sharing sessions, panel discussions, training and mentorships to help individuals realise their potential, foster a sense of personal and social responsibility, and prepare for our ever-changing world.

My Dream Program
Our program exposes teenagers to a diverse range of career paths related to their personal interests and relating those to the UN Sustainable Development Goals framework. My Dream Program fosters exploration and thoughtful consideration of their future vocations. It emphasizes planning, societal contribution, and the potential to excel in any field with dedication and purpose. By imparting the significance of planning ahead in partnership with their teachers and emphasising the value of contributing to society, we hope to instill in them the understanding that their choices and efforts can profoundly impact various facets of our collective well-being.

Partnership
The London Ball Foundation aims to work in partnership with local charitable or non-profit organisations to improve the quality of life of the local community in different areas, such as Arts, Culture & Heritage, Education & Training, Elderly Services, Emergency & Poverty Relief, Environmental Protection, Family Services, Medical & Health, Sports & Recreation and Youth Development.

Volunteer Services
We aim to organise and/or participate in various volunteer activities to help the local community, spread love to every corner and making a positive impact in pursuit of a better future.
